Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Dehradun to Badrinath

Dehradun serves as the starting point for our Badrinath Yatra, and that is by design. It is an easy place to get to and therefore the perfect place to commence our journey.

Your trip will begin early in the morning as you leave Dehradun behind and head straight to the mystical land of Badrinath. Now, the journey is around 300 km, and it will take you anywhere between 10 and 12 hours to reach Dham. On the way, we will stop at the powerful Dhari Devi Temple; she is the guardian deity of Uttarakhand. The next major stop en route is Devprayag, where you will witness a sight that will genuinely move you. This is the place where the Ganga river takes birth — a truly spiritual site for every pilgrim.

The road itself is a story, and a captivating one at that. You will travel through dense forests, sharp cliffs, gurgling streams and tiny hillside villages. Images that will live with you for the rest of your lives. By the evening you will reach the Badrinath Dham and check into your accommodations. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Badrinath + Local Exploration

Start your day with a holy dip in the Tapt Kund. It is a natural hot spring located near the Badrinath Dham and it is believed that a single dip will purify your body & soul.

Next the travelling party will proceed directly to the Badrinath temple for the darshan of Lord Vishnu (he is present here in his Narayana form). You will also attend the morning aarti. After the aarti, you can explore several nearby attractions, such as:

  • Mana Village: It is the last Indian village before Tibet – a must-visit place if you want to explore a place that is rich in tradition, folklore & that Himalayan charm
  • Vyas Gufa: A sacred cave where Ved Vyas wrote the epic Mahabharata
  • Bhim Pui: Another attraction near Badrinath; it is a massive natural stone bridge over the Saraswati River
  • Mata Murti Temple: There is also the Mata Murti Temple, dedicated to the mother of Lord Narayan

In the evening you can return to the hotel for dinner & rest.

Day 3: Badrinath to Dehradun

The final day of our tour begins with an early breakfast and a goodbye to Badrinath as we begin our return to Dehradun. Ride back in quiet reflection of your journey while simultaneously admiring the beauty of Uttarakhand.

By the evening, you will reach Dehradun, and this will be the end of our Yatra.
