Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Dehradun to Barkot

Our journey will begin from the beautiful town of Dehradun, which will serve as our meeting point. You will meet your driver and ride in the early morning, and you will immediately set towards the beautiful town of Barkot. It is a serene town that is hidden in the valleys of the Himalayas and perched along the banks of the Yamuna River. The view here is simply breathtaking.

As soon as you reach Barkot you will check into the hotel and relax for the evening. Enjoy a warm dinner as you prepare for your Yamunotri trek the next day.

Day 2: Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot

The second day is going to be a big one on our tour. It will be one of the most spiritually fulfilling days of the trip.

You will start your day early in the morning and head straight toward Janki Chatti. This will serve as the base for the trek to the Yamunotri Temple. It is a 6km uphill walk that is surrounded by pine forests, small waterfalls and beautiful river streams. Do note that you can also opt for a pony or palanquin (at personal expense).

As soon you reach the top, you will be able to take a dip in the Tapt Kund. Next you will offer prayer to the Goddess Yamuna at the temple. After Darshan, trek back down and return to Barkot for dinner & overnight stay.

Day 3: Barkot to Uttarkashi

We will rise with the sun, check out and head towards Uttarkashi. This mesmerising town, often known as 'Kashi of the North' offers gorgeous mountain scenery that you cannot take your eyes away from. En route, we will also make a brief stop at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple; it is a beautiful shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Once in Uttarkashi, check into your hotel and unwind. In the evening stroll the riverside or simply take in the peaceful adventure of the place. Dinner & overnight stay here.

Day 4: Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi

The penultimate day of the tour will see us head towards Gangotri Dham — and in the early morning. This place is the sacred origin of the Ganges river. The drive to this magical place is a visual treat — deep valleys, towering peaks and the majestic Bhagirathi river keeping you company all the way.

Upon arrival at Gangotri Dham, you will go straight towards the Gangotri temple to offer prayers. On the way to the temple, you can take a holy dip in the icy-cold Bhagirathi waters.

Spend some quiet time amidst the purity of this place before we drive back to Uttarkashi for dinner & rest.

Day 5: Uttarkashi to Dehradun

After breakfast, it is time to say goodbye to the mountains — at least for now. We are heading straight back to Dehradun to culminate this memorable trip. On the way back you can reflect on your trip while simultaneously taking in the beautiful scenery accompanying you along the way.

The trip ends upon arrival in the city. Thank you for choosing us to be a partner on your spiritual journey.
